Cynthia Rebholz

Facilator

Cynthia utilizes attachment-based therapies, specifically the Finding Peace Approach, to get to the heart of the matter, spark change, and heal emotional wounds for couples and individuals. All relationships have ups and downs; even your relationship with yourself can feel bumpy. When our emotional lens gets clouded by past wounds, we hide our pain and mistrust our relationships. This causes our relationships to feel stuck on the spin cycle of disconnection, conflict, and aloneness. If this sounds familiar, Cynthia wants you to know that change is possible; under our wounds is a functioning attachment system wired for connection, so everything needed to tune up your life is already inside you. Holding hope, Cynthia is unwavering as you shine light into the dark places that hold fear, uncertainty, shame, and anxiety to let go of pain and reveal your true self. Cynthia’s experiences include working in private practice, Serving as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, social services, inpatient adolescent residential treatment, and medical and family service settings, which allow her to work effectively with children, adolescents, and adults. She has received several awards, participated in published research, and is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Testimonials

“"Before participating in this course, I struggled with trust and recurring BRPEs (Blame, Rescuing, Protesting, and Escaping). Through the program, we learned how to recognize this pattern and stop it before it even started, which has significantly improved our communication. We no longer feel attacked or defensive during disagreements. The most valuable part for me was learning how not to take things personally and finding peace, even when I feel the other person isn’t right. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to improve their communication, interactions, and relationships with those they care about."”

“"Before joining this program, my wife and I felt like we were living separate lives under the same roof. There was a serious lack of communication, connection, and closeness between us. After taking the course, I learned how to see my spouse as a person rather than an obstacle. I now practice empathic listening and hold space for her instead of selectively hearing her problems or trying to solve or minimize them. The biggest takeaway for me was learning to listen empathically to my partner's feelings and to better communicate my own in a healthy way. I highly recommend this program to anyone in a serious relationship, whether you’re married or not, and regardless of whether you're facing issues. The skills and tools you gain will truly improve your relationship if you're willing to put in the effort. This program literally saved my marriage. My spouse and I were considering divorce before we found Troy’s class, but now we both feel much safer, more understood, and more connected than ever before. We know there’s still work to be done, but we’re optimistic and excited to face the future together."”

“"Before taking this course, my spouse and I were on the verge of discussing divorce. We had lost any sense of connection and were living separate lives while sharing the same roof and bed. Our relationship felt empty, and we no longer enjoyed being together. The results we experienced from this program were life-changing. We now have tools that allow us to communicate and talk through things together. We are more connected than we’ve ever been, and we look forward to a long and happy relationship. The course helped bridge our communication gap by providing direct tools, like the cards, that guided us in empathic listening and understanding one another. My biggest takeaway is that pain and joy can truly coexist—you can’t have one without the other. Learning about ownership and my own attachment wounds has deepened our connection. Being open with my spouse about pain, joy, sadness, anger, and fear has brought us closer. The most valuable aspect of this course was receiving tools and information that can support long-term success. I recommend this program to all married couples, from newlyweds to those who have been married for years. Whether you're struggling and unsure of how to improve, or just seeking better connection, this course is the answer. I hope others can gain the tools they need to grow both personally and in their relationships. I am incredibly grateful to Troy and his work. What he has created is life-changing, and I highly recommend everyone to hear and learn from his material!"”

“ "Before joining this program, we didn’t know how to effectively communicate and were still reeling from the trauma of infidelity. Through the course, we learned the tools needed to communicate better, the importance of daily connection, and how to respect each other. We also explored many new terms and strategies to help us rebuild our relationship. The most valuable takeaway for us was the ability to reconnect and grow as a couple. We now understand each other better and enjoy sharing more openly. Doing the homework together also helped strengthen our bond. I would highly recommend this program to couples who are having trouble communicating or struggling in their relationship. It provides the tools and support needed to improve and heal together."”

“"My husband shared this course with me after attending one of Troy's other courses. We had been in marriage counseling but felt stuck, so we decided to enroll in the Finding Peace in Relationships online course. Since we both travel extensively, the weekly online format was perfect for us. We completed our homework each week and learned new communication tools to help when we got stuck. The tools Dr. Troy shared weekly helped us find new ways of relating to each other. The results have been profound. We had ingrained patterns from early in our marriage that kept us stuck in a negative cycle. By learning why we each carried these old wounds, we were able to show more empathy and grace to each other. Now, instead of days of silence and frustration, we have more rational and loving conversations when we trigger each other's wounds. The biggest takeaway for me was realizing how easy it is to miss opportunities for connection. By understanding both myself and my husband better, we’ve strengthened our relationship. I highly recommend this program to any couple—whether newly married and needing tools to grow, or those considering divorce. This course can save marriages if both partners are willing to show up and do the work. The tools taught here will help not only in marriage but in all areas of life. I give this course 10 STARS!"”
